Spoke to the Council a couple of weeks ago and FINALLY
Gleeson's (and the other parties involved) have got an agreed 'Section 38' which means the
roads can now be finished. However that could take up to TWO YEARS and if nothing happens at the
end of two years the council will START to look at enforcing things... How come this news doesn't
fill me with joy? Could it be because in the two years and some months that we have lived here, the
only thing that Gleeson's have done correctly and in a timely manner is .... Oh gosh, I can't think
of anything...

Received an email
from Derbyshire County Council Development Control in response to an email that I sent them
asking about the situation with the adoption of Carr Road.
|

Sorry I haven’t
got back to you earlier on this matter. I have been trying to contact the
developers to see when the remedial / completion works were going to be carried
out, so that I could provide a more comprehensive response, hopefully with some
form of program. Unfortunately I’ve not had any response to date.
I will chase this up again and get some comments back
to you later this week.

Received a very long and detailed complaint history from a
house owner at another Gleeson's site.
|

He is very unhappy and has sent
details of his situation to 'Watchdog' and is threatening to start legal action
against Gleeson's if they don't sort things out within a
month.

Just received the following email from a neighbour on
the Gleeson Homes Temple Spa Buxton estate:

Hi Robert,
Just wanted to find out if any other Gleeson
residents are unhappy about the time Gleeson is taking to complete the roads and
paths and if anyone knows what is going on as we have on numerous occasions
contacted Gleeson to ask but no one ever gets back to us! We are very angry about
this as all the houses have been built for at least 8 months now and we should be
now living in the beautiful area we all paid good money for.
I know you have a website so would be happy for you
to put this on it and to see if we can try and do something together.

Had a call from Shelley Turner the Customer Care Manager promising us that a
person would come and visit on the 1st September to deal with all our outstanding snags. She asked
me to send her an up to date snag
list and wasn't
aware of the letter we received on the 2nd.

would get a driveway.

Oh what a surprise - no further
communication from Gleeson Homes - I phoned and spoke to the MD's secretary last week but no
further information...
Time I think to reinstate the website and also to add to it details
of some of the 'fun and games' that Gleeson's have been up to since we moved in...

A meeting was held today, with
Lee Sale the Managing Director of Gleeson Homes North West, where various matters were
discussed.
We were given a time scale and this website was suspended
pending the outcome of certain work.
